- 1 希西家卽位時、年二十有五、在耶路撒冷爲王、歷二十九年、其母名亞比雅、撒迦利雅女也、
- 2 希西家行耶和華所悅、效其祖大衞所爲、
- 3 元年正月、啟耶和華室門、而修理之、
- 4 召祭司利未人至、集於東場、
- 5 謂之曰、利未人歟、其聽我言、今當自潔、且潔爾列祖之上帝耶和華室、由聖所出其汚穢、
- 6 我列祖干罪、行我上帝耶和華所惡、而離棄之、轉背耶和華之居所、
- 7 閉其廊門、熄其燈、不在聖所焚香、獻燔祭於以色列之上帝、
- 8 故耶和華之怒、及於猶大與耶路撒冷、使之飄搖、令人驚駭嗤笑、如爾目擊、
- 9 因之我列祖仆於刃、我妻孥爲俘囚、
- 10 今我有意與以色列之上帝耶和華立約、俾其烈怒轉離我儕、
- 11 我子歟、今勿懈怠、蓋耶和華簡爾侍立其前、爲其執事、供役焚香、○
- 12 於是利未人哥轄族、亞瑪賽子瑪哈、亞撒利雅子約珥、米拉利族、亞伯底子基士、耶哈利勒子亞撒利雅、革順族、薪瑪子約亞、約亞子伊甸、
- 13 以利撒反裔申利、耶利、亞薩裔撒迦利雅、瑪探雅、
- 14 希幔裔耶歇、示每、耶杜頓裔示瑪雅、烏薛、咸起、
- 15 集其昆弟自潔、遵王循耶和華言所命、入潔耶和華室、
- 16 祭司亦入耶和華室內潔之、出其所有汚穢、置於院中、利未人舁至城外汲淪溪、
- 17 正月朔、始行潔事、至八日、及於耶和華之廊、潔耶和華室、又歷八日、至正月十六日、乃畢其事、
- 18 入覲希西家王曰、我儕已潔耶和華室、及燔祭壇與其器、陳餅之几與其器、
- 19 且亞哈斯爲王干罪時、所棄之器、我儕亦備具而潔之、今在耶和華壇前、○
- 20 希西家王夙興、集邑中牧伯、上耶和華室、
- 21 牽牡牛七、牡羊七、羔羊七、牡山羊七、爲國與聖所、及猶大人、獻爲贖罪祭、王命亞倫裔爲祭司者、獻於耶和華壇、
- 22 乃宰牡牛、祭司受血沃於壇、宰牡羊沃血於壇、宰羔羊沃血於壇、
- 23 遂牽爲贖罪祭之牡山羊、至王與會衆前、咸按手其上、
- 24 祭司宰之、以血爲贖罪祭獻於壇、爲以色列衆贖罪、蓋王有命、爲以色列衆獻燔祭與贖罪祭、
- 25 王使利未人執鈸、與琴及瑟、在耶和華室奏樂、循大衞與其先見迦得、及先知拿單所命、卽耶和華藉諸先知所命、
- 26 利未人執大衞之樂器而立、祭司亦執角而立、
- 27 希西家命獻燔祭於壇、始獻燔祭、同時而詠頌美耶和華之歌、以角與以色列王大衞之樂器和之、
- 28 會衆崇拜、謳歌者謳歌、吹角者吹角、至於燔祭獻畢、
- 29 獻祭旣畢、王與同在之衆、俯伏崇拜、
- 30 希西家王與牧伯命利未人、用大衞與先見亞薩之詞、頌美耶和華、衆乃欣然頌美、俯首而拜、
- 31 希西家曰、爾曹旣區別歸於耶和華、可前攜祭品、及感謝祭、入耶和華室、會衆遂攜祭品、及感謝祭而至、凡心願者、亦獻燔祭、
- 32 會衆所攜之燔祭、計牡牛七十、牡羊一百、羔羊二百、俱爲燔祭、獻於耶和華、
- 33 又獻區別之牲、牛六百、羊三千、
- 34 惟祭司尚寡、未能盡剝燔祭之牲、故其同族利未人助之、迨其事畢、亦待祭司自潔、蓋利未人誠心自潔、愈於祭司、
- 35 所獻燔祭甚多、酬恩祭之脂、及隨燔祭之酒亦多、於是耶和華室之役事俱備、
- 36 上帝爲民所備、希西家與民衆悅之、成事甚速、
