- 1 耶羅波安王十八年、亞比雅卽位、爲猶大王、
- 2 在耶路撒冷爲王三年、其母名米該亞、基比亞人烏列女也、亞比雅與耶羅波安戰、
- 3 亞比雅率所簡英勇之戰士四十萬、耶羅波安率所簡壯健之勇士八十萬、列陳逆之、
- 4 亞比雅立於以法蓮山地之洗瑪臉岡、曰、耶羅波安及以色列衆、其聽我言、
- 5 以色列之上帝耶和華曾立鹽約、以以色列國永賜大衞、及其子孫、爾豈不知乎、
- 6 乃大衞子所羅門之僕、尼八子耶羅波安、起而叛其主、
- 7 無賴之匪徒糾集從之、恃強以攻所羅門子羅波安、時羅波安冲弱、不能禦之、
- 8 今爾有意敵大衞子孫所治耶和華之國、爾之人數甚多、且有耶羅波安爲爾所製金犢、以爲神者偕爾、
- 9 爾曹非逐耶和華之祭司、亞倫後裔、及利未人、爲己立祭司、循異邦之例乎、凡人攜牡犢一、牡羊七而來、自爲區別、則可爲祭司、以奉虛無之神、
- 10 至於我儕、耶和華爲我上帝、我未棄之、亦有奉事耶和華之祭司、亞倫子孫、及利未人、供其役事、
- 11 每朝夕獻燔祭芳品、奉於耶和華、列陳設餅於精金之几、有金燈臺與盞、每夕燃之、蓋我儕守我上帝耶和華之命、惟爾曹棄之、
- 12 上帝偕我、爲我首領、其祭司吹角、向爾發聲示警、以色列人歟、勿與爾列祖之上帝耶和華戰、蓋爾必不利達也、
- 13 耶羅波安設伏於猶大人後、於是以色列人在前、伏兵在後、
- 14 猶大人回顧、見其前後列陳、則籲耶和華、祭司吹角、
- 15 猶大人號呼、是時上帝擊耶羅波安及以色列衆、於亞比雅曁猶大人前、
- 16 以色列人遁、上帝付之猶大人手、
- 17 亞比雅與其民大行殺戮、以色列之選兵、隕沒者五十萬、
- 18 是時以色列人降服、猶大人獲勝、因賴其列祖之上帝耶和華也、
- 19 亞比雅追襲耶羅波安、奪取數邑、卽伯特利與其鄉里、耶沙拿與其鄉里、以法拉音與其鄉里、
- 20 亞比雅存日、耶羅波安不復振興、耶和華擊之而死、
- 21 惟亞比雅日強、娶后妃十四、生子二十二、女十六、
- 22 亞比雅其餘事蹟、及其言行、皆載於先知易多傳、
