以賽亞書 31
- 1 那些下埃及求幫助，倚靠馬匹，倚靠眾多戰車，依靠十分強壯的馬兵，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不求問耶和華的，有禍了！
- 2 耶和華是智慧的，他必降下災禍，決不收回自己的話，卻要起來攻擊作惡者之家，又攻擊那些助人作孽的。
- 3 埃及人是人，並不是 神；他們的馬匹是血肉，並不是靈；耶和華一伸手，那幫助人的就絆倒，那受幫助的也必仆倒，並且一同滅亡。
- 4 因為耶和華對我這樣說：“獅子和少壯獅子怎樣因捕獲獵物而咆哮，雖然召集了許多的牧人來攻擊牠們，牠們並不因他們的聲音而驚慌，也不因他們的喧嚷而蹲伏；照樣，萬軍之耶和華必降臨在錫安山和它的岡陵上爭戰。”
- 5 雀鳥怎樣搧翅護雛，萬軍之耶和華也必照樣保護耶路撒冷，他必保護和拯救，他必越過和搭救。
- 6 以色列人哪！你們是要回轉，歸向那曾被你們徹底背棄的耶和華。
- 7 到那日，各人都必拋棄自己的金偶像和銀偶像，就是你們親手所做，把自己陷在罪中的。
- 8 亞述人必倒在刀下，不是人的刀；必有刀把他們吞滅，也不是人的刀。他們必不能逃避刀劍，他們的年輕人必作苦工。
- 9 他們的磐石必因驚慌而挪去，他們的領袖必因見到以色列的旗幟而驚惶。這是那有火在錫安，有爐在耶路撒冷的耶和華說的。
