以赛亚书 31
- 1 那些下埃及求帮助，倚靠马匹，倚靠众多战车，依靠十分强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华的，有祸了！
- 2 耶和华是智慧的，他必降下灾祸，决不收回自己的话，却要起来攻击作恶者之家，又攻击那些助人作孽的。
- 3 埃及人是人，并不是 神；他们的马匹是血肉，并不是灵；耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的就绊倒，那受帮助的也必仆倒，并且一同灭亡。
- 4 因为耶和华对我这样说：“狮子和少壮狮子怎样因捕获猎物而咆哮，虽然召集了许多的牧人来攻击它们，它们并不因他们的声音而惊慌，也不因他们的喧嚷而蹲伏；照样，万军之耶和华必降临在锡安山和它的冈陵上争战。”
- 5 雀鸟怎样搧翅护雏，万军之耶和华也必照样保护耶路撒冷，他必保护和拯救，他必越过和搭救。
- 6 以色列人哪！你们是要回转，归向那曾被你们彻底背弃的耶和华。
- 7 到那日，各人都必拋弃自己的金偶像和银偶像，就是你们亲手所做，把自己陷在罪中的。
- 8 亚述人必倒在刀下，不是人的刀；必有刀把他们吞灭，也不是人的刀。他们必不能逃避刀剑，他们的年轻人必作苦工。
- 9 他们的磐石必因惊慌而挪去，他们的领袖必因见到以色列的旗帜而惊惶。这是那有火在锡安，有炉在耶路撒冷的耶和华说的。
