Isaiah 31
- 1 도움을 구하러 이집트로 내려가는 자들에게 화가 있을지어다! 그들은 말들을 의지하며 병거들이 많으므로 병거들을 신뢰하고 기병들이 심히 강하므로 기병들을 신뢰하며 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이를 바라보지 아니하고 주를 찾지도 아니하는도다.
- 2 그럼에도 그분께서는 또한 지혜로우시므로 재앙을 가져오시고 자신의 말씀들을 취소하지 아니하시며 일어나사 악을 행하는 자들의 집을 치시고 불법을 행하는 자들의 도움을 치시리라.
- 3 이제 이집트 사람들은 사람이요, 하나님이 아니며 그들의 말들은 육체요, 영이 아니니라. 주께서 자신의 손을 뻗치시면 돕는 자도 넘어지고 도움을 받는 자도 쓰러져서 그들이 모두 함께 망하리라.
- 4 주께서 이같이 내게 말씀하시되, 사자 곧 젊은 사자가 자기 먹이를 움켜쥐고 으르렁거릴 때에 사람들이 그것을 치려고 목자의 무리를 불러왔다 할지라도 사자는 그들이 소리쳐도 무서워하지 아니하고 그들이 떠들어도 굴복하지 아니하리라. 이와 같이 만군의 주가 내려와서 시온 산과 그것의 언덕을 위하여 싸우리라.
- 5 나는 새들같이 만군의 주가 예루살렘을 보호할 것이요, 또 그것을 보호하고 건지며 넘어가서 그것을 보존하리라, 하셨느니라.
- 6 ¶이스라엘 자손이 그분을 떠나 심히 반역하였거니와 너희는 그분께로 돌아올지니라.
- 7 그 날에 모든 사람이 자기의 은 우상들과 자기의 금 우상들 곧 너희 손이 죄를 지으려고 너희를 위해 만든 것들을 던져 버리리라.
- 8 ¶그때에 그 아시리아 사람이 칼에 쓰러지되 강한 자로 말미암지도 아니하고 천한 자로 말미암지도 아니하며 칼이 그를 삼키리니 그가 칼을 피해 도망하고 그의 청년들은 패주하리라.
- 9 그가 두려움으로 인하여 자기의 강한 요새로 물러가고 그의 통치자들도 그 기(旗)로 말미암아 무서워하리라. 시온에 자신의 불을 두고 예루살렘에 자신의 용광로를 설치한 주가 말하노라.
