約伯記 40
- 1 耶和華 又 對 約伯 說：
- 2 強辯的 豈可與 全能者 爭論嗎？與 神 辯駁 的可以回答這些吧！
- 3 於是，約伯 回答 耶和華 說：
- 4 我是卑賤的！我用甚麼 回答你呢？只好用 手 摀 口。
- 5 我說了 一次，再不 回答；說了兩次，就不 再說。
- 6 於是，耶和華 從 旋風 中回答 約伯 說：
- 7 你要 如勇士 束 腰；我問你，你可以指示我。
- 8 你豈可 廢棄 我所擬定的？豈可定我有罪，好 顯自己為義嗎？
- 9 你有 神 那樣的膀臂嗎？你能像他 發雷 聲嗎？
- 10 你要 以榮耀 莊嚴 為妝飾，以尊榮 威嚴 為衣服；
- 11 要發出 你滿溢的 怒氣，見 一切 驕傲的人，使他降卑；
- 12 見 一切 驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人 踐踏 在本處；
- 13 將他們一同 隱藏 在塵土中，把他們的臉 蒙蔽 在隱密處；
- 14 我 就 認 你右手 能以救 自己。
- 15 你且 觀看 河馬； 我造 你也造牠。牠吃 草 與牛一樣；
- 16 牠的氣力 在腰間，能力 在肚腹 的筋上。
- 17 牠搖動 尾巴 如 香柏樹；牠大腿 的筋 互相聯絡。
- 18 牠的骨頭 好像銅 管；牠的肢體 彷彿鐵 棍。
- 19 牠在 神 所造的物中 為首；創造牠的 給 牠刀劍。
- 20 諸山 給牠 出 食物，也是 百 獸 遊玩 之處。
- 21 牠伏 在蓮葉 之下，臥在蘆葦 隱密處 和水窪子裡。
- 22 蓮葉 的陰涼 遮蔽牠；溪旁 的柳樹 環繞牠。
- 23 河水 泛濫，牠不 發戰；就是 約旦河 的水漲 到 牠口邊，也是安然。
- 24 在牠防備的時候，誰能捉拿牠？誰能牢籠 牠穿 牠的鼻子呢？
