- 1 維時、施洗約翰至、宣言於猶太野、
- 2 曰、爾宜改悔、天國邇矣、
- 3 此乃先知以賽亞所言者、曰、有呼於野者、其聲云、備主路、直其徑、
- 4 夫約翰身衣駝毛、腰束革帶、食則蝗蟲野蜜、
- 5 時、耶路撒冷、猶太、及約但四方、咸出就之、
- 6 在約但河受其洗、而承己罪、
- 7 約翰見法利賽人撒都該人、多就其洗、謂之曰、蝮類乎、誰示爾避將來之怒乎、
- 8 故當結果、以副改悔、
- 9 勿自謂、我有亞伯拉罕爲父也、我語汝、上帝能由此石、興起亞伯拉罕之子孫焉、
- 10 今斧置樹根、凡不結善果者、則斫之、委於火、
- 11 夫我洗爾以水、俾爾改悔、但後我來者、尤勝於我、卽攜其履、我亦弗堪、彼將洗爾以聖神及火焉、
- 12 其手執箕、簸淨厥場、斂麥入倉、以不滅之火而燒其糠、○
- 13 時、耶穌自加利利至約但就約翰、欲受其洗、
- 14 約翰辭曰、我應受洗於爾、爾乃就我乎、
- 15 耶穌曰、今姑許我、我儕當如是以盡諸義、乃許之、
- 16 耶穌受洗、由水而上、天爲之開、見上帝之神、如鴿降臨其上、
- 17 自天有聲云、此我愛子、我所欣悅者、
