Matthew 2
- 1 希律王時、耶穌生於猶大之伯利恆、有博士數人、自東方至耶路撒冷、
- 2 曰、生而爲猶太人王者安在、我在東方見其星、故來拜之、
- 3 希律王聞之惶懼、舉耶路撒冷皆然、
- 4 乃集祭司諸長、及民間士子、問基督當生於何處、
- 5 僉曰、猶大之伯利恆、蓋先知載云、
- 6 猶大地之伯利恆乎、爾在猶大郡中、非最小者、蓋將有君自爾出、牧我以色列民矣、
- 7 於是希律密召博士、詢悉星見之時、
- 8 遂遣之往伯利恆曰、爾往詳訪厥嬰、遇則告我、我亦往拜之、
- 9 博士聞王命而往、東方所見之星忽導於前、至嬰兒所、則止其上、
- 10 博士見星、喜不自勝、
- 11 入室、見嬰及其母馬利亞、則俯伏拜嬰、啟櫝、以黃金乳香沒藥獻之、
- 12 乃於夢中得示、令勿返見希律、遂由他途而歸、○
- 13 博士旣去、主之使見夢於約瑟曰、起、攜嬰及其母、奔埃及、寓彼、俟余示爾、蓋希律將索嬰殲之、
- 14 遂起、攜嬰及其母、夜往埃及、
- 15 寓彼、至希律卒、以應主藉先知所言云、曾召吾子出埃及矣、
- 16 時、希律知爲博士所愚、怒甚、遣人將伯利恆及四境所有男嬰、按其詳問博士時、凡二歲以下者殄之、
- 17 於是應先知耶利米所言云、
- 18 在拉瑪聞聲、哀泣慟甚、乃拉結哭其子、而不受慰、以其無存也、○
- 19 希律旣卒、主之使在埃及見夢於約瑟曰、起、
- 20 攜嬰及其母、往以色列地、蓋索嬰命者已死矣、
- 21 遂起、攜嬰及其母、至以色列地、
- 22 聞亞基老繼父希律爲猶大王、懼不敢往、夢中得示、遂入加利利境、
- 23 至一邑名拿撒勒居之、應諸先知所言云、人將稱之爲拿撒勒人矣、
