約伯記 2
- 1 又有 一天， 神 的眾子 來 侍立 在 耶和華面前，撒但 也 來 在其中。
- 2 耶和華 問 撒但 說：「你從 哪裡 來？」撒但 回答 說：「我從地上 走來走去，往返而來。」
- 3 耶和華 問 撒但 說：「你曾用 心 察看 我的僕人 約伯沒有？ 地上 再沒有 人 像他 完全 正直，敬畏 神，遠離 惡事。你雖激動我 攻擊他，無故地 毀滅他，他仍然 持守 他的純正。」
- 4 撒但 回答 耶和華 說：「人 以皮 代 皮，情願捨去 一切 所有的，保全 性命。
- 5 你且 伸 手 傷 他的骨頭 和 他的肉，他必 當 面 棄掉你。」
- 6 耶和華 對 撒但 說：「 他在你手中，只要 存留 他的性命。」
- 7 於是撒但 從 耶和華 面前 退去，擊打 約伯，使他從腳 掌 到 頭頂 長毒 瘡。
- 8 約伯 就坐 在爐灰 中，拿 瓦片 刮 身體。
- 9 他的妻子 對他 說：「你仍然 持守 你的純正嗎？你棄掉 神，死了吧！」
- 10 約伯卻對她 說：「你說話 像 愚頑的婦人 一樣。噯！難道我們從 神 手裡得 福，不 也 受 禍嗎？」在這 一切的事上 約伯 並不 以口 犯罪。
- 11 約伯 的三 個朋友─提幔人 以利法、書亞人 比勒達、拿瑪人 瑣法─聽說 有這 一切的 災禍 臨 到他身上，各人 就從本處 約會 同 來，為他 悲傷，安慰他。
- 12 他們遠遠地 舉 目觀看，認 不出他來，就放 聲 大哭。各人 撕裂 外袍，把塵土 向天 揚起來，落在 自己的頭上。
- 13 他們就同他 七 天 七 夜 坐 在地上，一個人也不 向他 說 句話，因為 他極 其 痛苦。
