The Untrodden Way
by Ernest little, 1907
The pathway of the year
Is hidden and untried;
I will not fear, for at my side
Is one who cheers
Through all the years;
I do in Him confide.
Through darkness compass me,
And clouds about fall,
They cannot harm;
Through all the days
God is my Guide, I shall not slide,
He orders all my ways.
When at my journey's end
I reach the land of light.
I shall forget
The perils past,
And won't ring, trace the way of grace
That brings me rest at last.
