- 1 以利戶又曰、
- 2 爾哲人乎、其聽我言、爾達人乎、側耳而聽、
- 3 蓋耳之察言、猶口之嘗食、
- 4 我儕當擇其正、共喻其善、
- 5 約伯嘗曰、我乃義、而上帝奪我理、
- 6 我雖直、而視我爲誑、雖無過、而我創不可療、
- 7 誰如約伯飲侮慢、如飲水、
- 8 與作孽者爲侶、與惡人同行、
- 9 彼云、人樂上帝、無所裨益、
- 10 故爾智者、其聽我言、上帝決不爲惡、全能者斷不作孽、
- 11 乃必按人所爲而報之、依人所行而施之、
- 12 上帝誠不爲惡、全能者必不背義、
- 13 其治地之任、誰畀之、其理世之職、誰託之、
- 14 彼若定志爲己、使神與氣歸之、
- 15 則凡有血氣者必偕亡、世人咸歸於土、
- 16 爾若有智、則當聆此、諦聽我言、
- 17 惡義者、豈得操權乎、秉公有能者、爾豈罪之乎、
- 18 謂君王曰、爾爲鄙陋、謂侯伯曰、爾爲邪惡、其宜乎、
- 19 況不偏視王公、不歧視貧富者乎、蓋皆其所造也、
- 20 中夜俄頃之間、彼衆死亡、庶民被震而逝、強者見逐、非假人手、
- 21 其目鑒人道途、觀人步履、
- 22 無幽暗晦冥、俾惡人自匿、
- 23 上帝於人、無庸再三思維、始令受鞫於其前、
- 24 彼折有能之輩、其術莫測、使他人代其職、
- 25 彼原悉其所行、夜間傾之、使之滅亡、
- 26 以之爲惡、擊之於衆前、
- 27 蓋彼悖逆、不從上帝、不顧厥道、
- 28 致令貧乏者之哀求、達於其前、受虐者之呼籲、爲其所聞、
- 29 上帝安人、誰能罪之、上帝掩面、誰能覲之、於國於人皆然、
- 30 致不虔者、不得操權、免其罔民、
- 31 有誰謂上帝曰、我旣受責、不再犯罪、
- 32 我所不明、請爾示我、若曾行惡、不復爲之、
- 33 上帝之報、必徇爾意、而爾弗受乎、爾自擇之、我不與也、如有所知、尚其言之、
- 34 有智之士、凡聞我言之達人、必謂我曰、
- 35 約伯所言無知、其詞不慧、
- 36 願約伯被試至極、以其辯同於惡人也、
- 37 其罪之上、加以悖逆、在我儕中鼓掌、對於上帝、嘖有煩言、
