阿摩司書 8
- 1 主耶和華向我顯示，我就看見一籃夏天的果子。
- 2 耶和華說：“阿摩司，你看見甚麼？”我回答：“一籃夏天的果子。”他跟著對我說：“我民以色列的結局到了，我不再放過他們。
- 3 “到那日，聖殿的歌聲必變為哀號；屍首眾多，拋棄各處；你們要肅靜。”這是主耶和華的宣告。
- 4 踐踏窮乏人又除掉國中困苦人的，你們要聽這話。
- 5 你們說：“月朔甚麼時候過去，好讓我們可以賣五穀；安息日甚麼時候結束，好讓我們可以開市賣穀物。我們賣東西就把升斗弄小，收銀子卻用加重了的法碼，我們要用假秤欺騙人。
- 6 我們用銀子買窮人，用一雙鞋換取窮乏人；連麥碎也賣掉。”
- 7 耶和華指著雅各所誇耀的起誓說：“我必永遠記著他們所作的一切；
- 8 “這地不應為此震動，所有住在地上的不應悲哀嗎？這地必像尼羅河高漲翻騰，像埃及的大河退落。
- 9 “到那日，這是耶和華的宣告：我必使太陽在正午落下，在白晝使地變成昏暗。
- 10 “我必使你們歡樂的節期變為悲哀的日子，把你們的歌聲都變為哀哭。我必使你們各人腰束麻帶，頭都剃光了；我必使你們悲哀，好像喪了獨生子，自始至終都是痛苦的。
- 11 “看哪！日子快到，這是主耶和華的宣告。我必使饑荒臨到這地，這饑荒不是因為沒有食物，這乾渴不是因為沒有水；而是因為聽不見耶和華的話。
- 12 他們從這海飄流到那海，從北到東，到處奔走，要尋求耶和華的話，卻尋不見。
- 13 “到那日，美麗的少女和勇士都因乾渴昏倒。
- 14 那些指著撒瑪利亞亞示瑪女神（“亞示瑪女神”原文作“罪”）起誓，或是那些指著但的神，或別是巴的神（“別是巴的神”原文作“別是巴的道”）起誓的，他們要倒下，再不能起來。”
