- 1 越至三日、以斯帖衣朝服、立於王宮內院、在王宮相對之所、王在宮中坐其位、對於門、
- 2 見后以斯帖立於院中、則加恩、向之舉金杖、以斯帖乃前、捫其杖端、
- 3 王諭之曰、后以斯帖、爾何所欲、爾何所求、卽國之半、亦必予爾、
- 4 以斯帖曰、我爲王設宴、如王悅之、請與哈曼、今日赴宴、
- 5 王命曰、使哈曼速行、如以斯帖所言、於是王及哈曼、赴以斯帖所備之宴、
- 6 宴飲之時、王謂以斯帖曰、爾何所求、我必予爾、爾何所欲、卽國之半、亦必爲之、
- 7 以斯帖曰、我之所求所欲、
- 8 我若沾恩於王前、且王悅之、允我所求、成我所欲、請與哈曼、赴我所設之宴、明日必依王言而行、
- 9 是日哈曼中心歡悅、欣然而出、然見末底改在御門、不起立、不動身、則怒甚、
- 10 強忍而歸、招其友及妻細利斯至、
- 11 以其財貨之富、子女之繁、及王擢而升之、超於諸伯王臣諸事、悉告之、
- 12 且曰、后以斯帖設宴、予而外、不許人偕王赴之、明日設宴、我與王又見請、
- 13 惟見猶大人末底改坐於御門、則此一切、不足爲意、
- 14 其妻細利斯與諸友謂之曰、當具木高五丈、明日求王、懸末底改於上、然後欣然與王赴宴、哈曼悅其言、使具木焉、
