- 1 厥後、王擢亞甲族人、哈米大他子哈曼、尊之、使其位高於左右諸牧伯、
- 2 在御門之臣僕、俱遵王命、跪拜哈曼、惟末底改不跪不拜、
- 3 御門臣僕問之曰、爾奚違王命、
- 4 日諫末底改、末底改不聽、衆以告哈曼、欲觀末底改事之究竟、蓋末底改以己爲猶大人告之也、
- 5 哈曼見末底改不跪不拜、則怒甚、
- 6 衆以末底改國族告哈曼、哈曼以爲殺此一人、猶微事耳、欲將亞哈隨魯王通國、末底改之同宗猶大人、盡行殲滅、
- 7 亞哈隨魯王十二年正月、卽尼散月、人在哈曼前、按日與月掣普珥、卽籤、至十二月、卽亞達月爲吉、
- 8 哈曼奏王曰、有一族、散處爾國諸州、其律異乎萬民、不遵王律、容之於王無益、
- 9 如王悅之、可頒明詔、翦滅斯族、我將以銀一萬他連得、付於掌國帑者、以儲王庫、
- 10 王脫指環、給亞甲族人、哈米大他子哈曼、卽猶大人之敵、
- 11 曰、此銀賜爾、斯民亦付爾、隨意待之、
- 12 正月十三日、遂召王之繕寫、從哈曼所命書詔、依各州文字、各族方言、繕以御名、鈐以王之指環、普告王臣、各州方伯、各族民長、
- 13 遣郵傳詔各州、使於十二月、卽亞達月十三日、一日之間、將猶大人、無論老幼、嬰孩婦女、盡行殺戮翦滅、俾其隕亡、取其貨財、以爲己有、
- 14 所錄之詔、頒行各州、宣告各族、使之預備、以待是日、
- 15 在書珊宮降詔、郵驛遵命、其行甚速、王與哈曼坐而飲、惟書珊邑、則紛擾焉、
