Isaiah 17
- 1 다마스쿠스에 대한 엄중한 부담이라. 보라, 다마스쿠스는 사라져 도시가 되지 못하고 폐허더미가 되리라.
- 2 아로엘의 도시들은 버림을 받았도다. 그것들이 양 떼를 치는 곳이 되어 양 떼가 누울지라도 아무도 그것들을 두렵게 하지 못하리라.
- 3 또 에브라임에서는 요새가 그치고 다마스쿠스에서는 왕국이 그치며 시리아의 남은 자들이 그치리니 그들이 곧 이스라엘 자손의 영광과 같이 되리라. 만군의 주가 말하노라.
- 4 그 날에 야곱의 영광이 쇠하게 되고 그의 살의 기름진 것이 야위게 되리니
- 5 그것은 마치 수확하는 자가 곡식을 거두며 자기 손으로 이삭을 수확하는 것 같겠고 이삭을 모으는 자가 르바임 골짜기에서 모으는 것 같으리라.
- 6 ¶그러나 그것 안에 이삭줍기를 할 만한 포도들이 남아 있을 터인데 이것은 곧 올리브나무를 흔들 때에 가장 높은 가지 꼭대기에 열매 두세 개가 남은 것 같겠고 가장 밖에 있으면서 열매를 많이 낸 그것의 가지에 네다섯 개가 남은 것 같으리라. 주 이스라엘의 하나님이 말하노라.
- 7 그 날에 사람이 자기를 만드신 이를 바라보며 그의 눈이 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이에게 관심을 두고
- 8 또 그가 자기 손으로 만든 제단들을 바라보지 아니하며 자기 손가락으로 만든 것 즉 작은 숲이나 형상들에게 관심을 두지 아니하리라.
- 9 ¶그 날에 그의 견고한 도시들이 버림받은 가지와 가장 높은 가지같이 될 터인데 그것들은 이스라엘 자손들로 인하여 그들이 남겨 둔 것이라. 또 거기에 황폐함이 있으리니
- 10 이는 네가 네 구원의 하나님을 잊어버리고 네 능력의 반석에게 마음을 두지 아니하였기 때문이라. 그러므로 네가 기뻐하는 초목들을 심고 낯선 가지들과 함께 그것을 세우며
- 11 그 날에 네가 네 초목을 자라게 하고 아침에 네 씨가 무성히 자라게 할 것이로되 근심과 극심한 슬픔의 날에 거기서 얻는 수확이 무더기가 되리로다.
- 12 ¶바다 소리 같은 소리를 내는 많은 백성의 무리에게 화가 있을지어다! 강한 물이 몰려오는 것 같이 몰려오고 몰려오는 민족들에게 화가 있을지어다!
- 13 민족들이 많은 물이 몰려오듯 몰려오려니와 하나님께서 그들을 꾸짖으시리니 그들이 산에서 바람 앞에 날리는 겨같이, 회오리바람 앞에 굴러다니는 물건같이 멀리 도망하고 쫓겨 가리라.
- 14 저녁때의 고난을 보라. 아침이 되기 전에 그가 있지 아니하니 이것이 우리를 노략하는 자들의 몫이요 우리를 강탈하는 자들에게 할당된 몫이니라.
