- 1 猶大王西底家九年十月、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率其全軍圍耶路撒冷、
- 2 西底家十一年四月九日、城破、
- 3 巴比倫王之牧伯、尼甲沙利薛、三甲尼波、宦官長撒西金、博士長尼甲沙利薛、及巴比倫王其餘之牧伯、咸入、坐於中門、
- 4 猶大王西底家、與諸戰士見之、遂夜遁、沿王囿、由兩垣間之門出邑、向亞拉巴而去、
- 5 迦勒底軍旅追之、追及西底家於耶利哥平原、執之、攜至哈馬地之利比拉、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒所、而審鞫之、
- 6 巴比倫王在利比拉、戮西底家諸子、使之目覩、亦戮猶大諸貴胄、
- 7 抉西底家之目、縶之以鏈、欲攜至巴比倫、
- 8 迦勒底人火焚王宮民室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、
- 9 侍衞長尼布撒拉旦、以邑中遺民、與歸降者、及其餘之衆、咸虜至巴比倫、
- 10 惟民中貧乏無業者、侍衞長尼布撒拉旦留之於猶大地、以田疇葡萄園、同時給之、
- 11 巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒論耶利米、命侍衞長尼布撒拉旦曰、
- 12 爾攜之去、善遇之、勿加害、如其所言而待之、
- 13 侍衞長尼布撒拉旦、宦官長尼布沙斯班、博士長尼甲沙利薛、與巴比倫王諸長官、
- 14 遣人提耶利米、出於護軍之院、付於沙番孫、亞希甘子基大利、攜之歸家、居於民中、○
- 15 耶利米尚幽於護軍之院時、耶和華諭之曰、
- 16 往告古實人以伯米勒曰、萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我言降災、不降福於斯邑、日至必應於爾前、
- 17 惟於是日、我必拯爾、不被付於爾所懼者之手、耶和華言之矣、
- 18 蓋爾惟我是賴、我必拯爾、不仆於刃、俾獲生命、如獲掠物、耶和華言之矣、
