耶利米书 39
- 1 犹大王西底家第九年十月，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领他的全军来攻击耶路撒冷，把城围困起来。
- 2 西底家第十一年四月九日，城被攻破。
- 3 巴比伦王所有的将领：尼甲．沙利薛、三甲．尼波、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明确）撒西金、术士长（“术士长”的本意不明确）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比伦王所有其余的将领，都进城，坐在中门。
- 4 犹大王西底家和所有的军兵看见了他们，就逃跑，在夜间逃出城外，经过王的花园，穿过两道城墙中间的门，直往亚拉巴的路上走去。
- 5 但迦勒底人的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的原野上追上了西底家，把他拿住，带到哈马地的利比拉去见巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒；尼布甲尼撒就宣判他的罪状。
- 6 巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子；巴比伦王也杀了犹大所有的显贵，
- 7 并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。
- 8 迦勒底人放火焚烧王宫和民房，又拆毁了耶路撒冷的城墙。
- 9 城里剩下的人民，和那些已经向巴比伦王投降的人，以及其余的人民，都被护卫长尼布撒拉旦掳到巴比伦去。
- 10 但护卫长尼布撒拉旦把民中一些一无所有的穷人留在犹大地，同时把葡萄园和田地分给他们。
- 11 巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒提到耶利米，吩咐护卫长尼布撒拉旦说：
- 12 “你把他带去，好好照顾他，切不可伤害他；他对你怎样说，你就给他照办。”
- 13 于是护卫长尼布撒拉旦、大臣（“大臣”的本意不明确）尼布沙斯班、术士长（“术士长”的本意不明确）尼甲．沙利薛，以及巴比伦王所有的大臣都派人去，
- 14 把耶利米从卫兵的院子里提出来，交给沙番的孙子、亚希甘的儿子基大利，叫他带耶利米回家去。这样，耶利米就住在人民中间。
- 15 耶利米还监禁在卫兵的院子里的时候，耶和华的话临到他，说：
- 16 “你去告诉古实人以伯．米勒说：‘万军之耶和华以色列的 神这样说：看哪！我必在这城实现我的话，降祸不降福；到那日，这一切都必在你面前实现。
- 17 但到了那日，我必拯救你；你必不至交在你所惧怕的人手里。’这是耶和华的宣告。
- 18 ‘因为我必定搭救你；你必不会倒在刀下，必可以捡回自己的性命，因为你信靠我。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
