- 1 Коли дому Госпо́дь не буду́є, даре́мно працюють його будівни́чі при ньому! Коли мі́ста Господь не пильну́є, — даремно сторо́жа чува́є!
- 2 Даре́мно вам ра́но вставати, допі́зна сидіти, їсти хліб загорьо́ваний, — Він і в спанні́ подасть другові Своє́му!
- 3 Діти — спа́дщина Господнє, плід утро́би — нагоро́да!
- 4 Як стрі́ли в руках того ве́летня, так і сини́ молоді́:
- 5 блаженний той муж, що сагайдака́ свого ними напо́внив, — не бу́дуть такі посоро́млені, коли в брамі вони говори́тимуть із ворога́ми!
