傳道書 6
- 1 我見 日光 之下 有 一宗禍患 重壓 在 人身上，
- 2 就是人蒙 神 賜 他 資財、豐富、尊榮，以致他心裡 所 願 的一樣都 不 缺，只是 神 使他 不 能 吃用，反有 外人 來吃用。這是 虛空，也是 禍 患。
- 3 人 若 生 一百個兒子，活 許多 歲數，以致他的年 日 甚 多，心裡 卻不得 滿享 福樂，又 不 得 埋葬；據我說，那不到期而落的胎 比他 倒好。
- 4 因為 虛虛 而來，暗暗 而去，名字 被黑暗 遮蔽，
- 5 並且 沒有 見過 天日，也毫無 知覺；這胎，比那人 倒享安息。
- 6 那人雖然 活 千 年，再活千年，卻不 享 福，眾人 豈不 都歸 一個 地方 去嗎？
- 7 人 的勞碌 都 為口腹，心裡 卻 不 知足。
- 8 這樣看來，智慧人 比 愚昧人 有甚麼 長處呢？窮人 在眾人 面前 知道 如何行，有甚麼長處呢？
- 9 眼睛 所看的 比心裡 妄想的 倒好。這 也是 虛空，也是捕 風。
- 10 先前所有的，早已 起了 名，並知道 何為 人，他也不 能 與 那比自己 力大的 相爭。
- 11 加增 虛浮 的事 既 多，這與人 有甚麼 益處呢？
- 12 人 一生 虛度的 日子，就如影兒 經過，誰 知道 甚麼 與他有益呢？ 誰 能告訴 他 身後 在日光 之下 有 甚麼事呢？
