以赛亚书 13
- 1 亚摩斯的儿子以赛亚得到关于巴比伦的默示：
- 2 你要在光秃的山上竖起旗帜，向众人扬声挥手，叫他们进入权贵的门。
- 3 我向我特选的军兵下了命令；我也呼召了我的勇士，就是那些骄傲自夸的人，去执行我在怒气中所要作的。
- 4 听啊！山上有喧哗的声音，好像是众多的人民；听啊！有多国的人的嘈杂声，好像是列国聚集在一起。万军之耶和华正在数点军兵，预备打仗。
- 5 他们从远地而来，从天边而来。就是耶和华和他恼怒的工具，要毁灭这全地。
- 6 哀号吧！因为耶和华的日子近了，这日子来到，好像毁灭从全能者那里来到一样。
- 7 因此，各人的手都必发软，各人也必心惊胆战。
- 8 他们都要惊惶失措，疼痛与痛苦必抓住他们；他们必绞痛，像生产中的妇人一样。他们在惊愕中彼此对望，面色像火焰一般。
- 9 看哪！耶和华的日子快来到，必有残忍、愤恨与烈怒，使这地荒凉，使其中的罪人灭绝。
- 10 天上的星星和众星座不再发光；太阳刚出来就变为黑暗，月亮也不再发光。
- 11 我必因世界的邪恶施行刑罚，也必因恶人的罪孽惩罚他们；我要使狂妄人的骄傲止息，使强暴人的狂傲降卑。
- 12 我必使人比精金还少，使人比俄斐的金更稀罕。
- 13 在万军之耶和华发怒的时候，就是我大发烈怒的日子，我要使天震动，大地必摇撼，离开本位。
- 14 人必像被追猎的羚羊，又像无人招聚的羊群，各自归向本族，各自逃回本地。
- 15 凡被追上的，必被刺死；凡被捉住的，必倒在刀下。
- 16 他们的婴孩必在他们眼前被摔死；他们的房屋必被抢掠，他们的妻子必被污辱。
- 17 看哪！我要激动玛代人来攻击他们。玛代人不重视银子，也不喜爱金子。
- 18 他们的弓箭必射倒年轻人，他们不怜悯妇人腹中的婴儿；他们的眼也不顾惜小孩。
- 19 巴比伦本是列国中的华美，是迦勒底人引以为傲的荣耀，必像 神倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉一样。
- 20 那地必永远没有居民，世世代代无人居住；阿拉伯人不在那里搭帐幕；牧羊人也不领羊群躺卧在那里。
- 21 躺卧在那里的，只有旷野的走兽；充满着他们房屋的，只有吼叫着的野兽；鸵鸟住在那里，野山羊在那里跳跃。
- 22 豺狼必在巴比伦的宫中呼号，野狗必在他们华美的殿里吠叫。巴比伦受罚的时候临近了，它的日子必不长久。
