Revelation of John 13
- 1 我又海より一の獣の上るを見たり、其は七の頭と十の角と有りて、其角の上に冠あり、頭の上に冒涜の名あり。
- 2 我が見し獣は豹の如く、其足は熊の足の如く、其口は獅子の如くにして、龍は之に己が座と大いなる権力とを與へたり。
- 3 我又見たるに、其一の頭死ぬばかり傷つけられたれど、其死ぬべき傷醫されしかば、全世界感嘆して此獣に從ひ、
- 4 此獣に力を與へし龍を禮拝し、又獣を禮拝して言ひけるは、誰か此獣の如き者あらんや、誰か之と戰ふを得んや、と。
- 5 而して大言と冒涜とを吐く口を與へられ、四十二箇月の間働く権力を與へられ、
- 6 然て口を開きて神を冒涜し、其御名と其幕屋と天に住める者とを冒涜せり。
- 7 又聖人等と戰ひ、且之に勝つ事を許され、諸族、諸民、諸語、諸國に對する権力を與へられ、
- 8 斯て地上に住める人にして、世の初より殺され給ひたる羔の生命の名簿に名を録されざる人、皆彼獣を禮拝せり。
- 9 人耳あらば聞け、
- 10 擒に牽きし人は自ら擒に往くべく、剣にて殺しし人は剣にて殺さるべし、聖人等の忍耐と信仰と茲にあり。
- 11 我又別に地より一の獣の上るを見しが、羔の如き角二ありて、龍の如くに言ひ居り、
- 12 先の獣の前に於て、総て之と等しき力を顕し、地と地に住める人とをして、死ぬばかりの傷の醫されし曩の獣を禮拝せしめたり、
- 13 又人の眼前に天より火を地に下さしむる程の大いなる徴を為し、
- 14 獣の前に為すことを得しめられたる徴を以て、地に住める人を惑はし、之に勧めて、刀の傷はありながら尚生存へし獣の像を造らしめ、
- 15 此獣の像に生命を與へ、且言ふことを得させ、此獣の像を拝せざる人を殺す力を與へられたり、
- 16 又大小と貧富と自由の身と奴隷とを問はず、凡ての人に、或は右の手或は額に印章を受けしめ、
- 17 此印章若くは獣の名、若くは其名の數を記されたる人々の外、売買する事を得ざらしめたり。
- 18 智恵は是に於てか要せらる、知識ある人は獣の數を算へよ、獣の數は人の數にして、其數は六百六十六なり。
