1 Timothy 2
- 1 然れば我が第一に勧むるは、衆人の為、
- 2 帝王等及び総て上位に在る人々の為に、懇願し、祈祷し、請願し、且感謝せられん事なり。是は我等が全き敬虔と正直とに於て、安らかに静なる生活を営まん為なり、
- 3 斯の如きは善事にして我救主にて在す神の御前に嘉納せらるればなり。
- 4 即ち神は一切の人の救はれ、眞理を知るに至らん事を望み給ふ。
- 5 蓋神は唯一に在し、神と人との仲裁者も亦唯一なり。是人たるキリスト、イエズスに在して、
- 6 衆人の為に己を贖として捧げ給ひ、時至りて其證據ありしなり。
- 7 我は之が為に立てられて宣教者たり、且使徒たり、――我は眞を言ひて僞らず――信仰と眞理とに於る異邦人の教師たり。
- 8 然れば我は、男子が何れの處に於ても潔き手を挙げて怒なく争なく祈らん事を望む。
- 9 婦人も亦斯の如くして相應の衣服を着け、己を飾るに羞耻心と節制とを以てし、縮し髪、黄金、眞珠、高價の衣服を以てせず、
- 10 敬虔を約束せる婦人に相當する如く善業を以てすべし。
- 11 婦人は全く服從して静に學ぶべし。
- 12 我は婦人の教ふる事、又男子を司る事を許さず、静にすべきなり。
- 13 蓋アダンは前に造られ、エワは其後なり。
- 14 又アダンは惑はされず、婦は惑はされて罪に陥れり。
- 15 然れども信仰と愛と聖徳と節制とに止らば、子女を挙ぐる事によりて救かるべし。
