1 Thessalonians 3
- 1 是故に最早堪得ずして、我等のみアデンスに留るを宜しとし、
- 2 我等の兄弟にしてキリストの福音に於る神の役者たるチモテオを汝等に遣はせり。是信仰に就きて汝等を堅固ならしめ且奨励し、
- 3 斯る患難の中に在りて一人だも動かされざらしめん為なり、其は我等が患難に定められたる事は、汝等の自ら知る所、
- 4 蓋汝等の中に在りし時も、我等が必ず患難に遇ふべきを豫め汝等に告げ居たりしが、果して斯く成來れるは汝等の知る所なり。
- 5 此故に我は最早堪得ずして、汝等の信仰の如何を知らん為に人を遣はせり、其は或は誘ふ者の汝等を誘ひて、我等が働の空しくならん事を恐れたればなり。
- 6 然るにチモテオ汝等の許より我等が許に來りて、汝等の信仰と愛との喜ばしき音信を傳へ、又汝等が常に我等に就きて善き記憶を有ち、我等を見ん事を望めるは、恰も我等が汝等を見ん事を望めるに等しとの福音を告げたれば、
- 7 是によりて兄弟等よ、我等は諸の憂苦と困難との中に在りながら、汝等に就きて、汝等の信仰を以て慰を得たり。
- 8 即ち汝等だに主に於て立たば、我等は今生回るなり。
- 9 蓋我神の御前に於て、汝等に就きて我等の喜べる一切の喜は、如何なる感謝を以てか汝等の為に神に報い奉るを得べき。
- 10 我等は汝等の顔を見ん事と、汝等の信仰の缺けたる所を補はん事とを、晝夜切に祈り居るなり。
- 11 願はくは我父にて在す神御自ら、又我主イエズス、キリスト、我等を導きて汝等に至らしめ給はんことを。
- 12 願はくは相互の間に於ても、又衆人に對しても、汝等の愛を増し且豊ならしめ給はん事を。我等が汝等に對するも亦斯の如し。
- 13 是汝等の心を聖徳に固め、我主イエズス、キリスト其諸聖人と共に來り給はん時、我父にて在す神の御前に咎むべき所なからしめん為なり、アメン。
