1 Thessalonians 1
- 1 パウロ、シルヴァノ及びチモテオ、神にて在す父及び主イエズス、キリストに在るテサロニケ人の教會に[書簡を贈る]。
- 2 願はくは恩寵と平安とを汝等に賜はらんことを。我等は常に汝等一同の為に神に感謝し奉り、祈祷の中に汝等を記念して、
- 3 絶間なく我父にて在す神の御前に於て、汝等の信仰の業と、愛の勞苦と、我主イエズス、キリストに於る希望の不退転なる事とを記憶す。
- 4 神に愛せられ奉る兄弟等よ、我等は汝等が選まれし次第を知れり。
- 5 即ち我等の福音は、汝等に於て唯言のみに止らず、能力及び聖霊によりて全き確信を獲たりき、我等が汝等の中に在りて、汝等の為に如何なる者なりしかは、汝等の知れる所の如し。
- 6 汝等も亦大いなる患難に在りながら、聖霊の喜を以て言を受けて、我等と主とを學ぶ者と成り、
- 7 マケドニア[州]及びアカヤ[州]に於る一切の信者の模範たるに至れり。
- 8 蓋主の御言は、汝等よりしてマケドニア及びアカヤに響きしのみならず、神に於る汝等の信仰[の風評]何處にも行渡りたれば、我等は何事をも言ふを要せず、
- 9 即ち彼等自ら我々の事を語り、我等が汝等の中に入りし次第、又汝等が偶像を去りて神に歸依し、活き給へる眞の神に事へ奉り、
- 10 死者の中より復活せしめ給ひし其御子、即ち來る怒より我等を救ひ給ひしイエズスの、天より降り給ふを待てる次第を吹聴するなり。
