耶利米書 47
- 1 在法老攻擊迦薩以先，耶和華論到非利士人的話臨到耶利米先知。
- 2 耶和華這樣說：“看哪！有水從北方漲起，成為一股氾濫的洪流，淹沒大地和地上的一切，淹沒城鎮和住在城中的居民。人必呼喊，地上所有的居民必哀號。
- 3 因為聽見戰馬的蹄聲，還有戰車轔轔和車輪轆轆的響聲，作父親的雙手酸軟無力，不能照顧他們的兒女。
- 4 日子將到，非利士人必全遭毀滅，所有曾援助推羅和西頓仍然倖存的人必被剪除，因為耶和華要毀滅非利士人，就是迦斐託島餘剩的人。
- 5 迦薩成了禿頭的，亞實基倫靜默無聲（“靜默無聲”或譯：“被毀壞了”），在它們的平原上（“在它們的平原上”或參照《七十士譯本》譯作“亞衲族”﹝參書11:21 22﹞）餘剩的人哪，你們劃傷自己的身體要到幾時呢？”
- 6 耶和華的刀劍哪，你要到幾時才可停下來呢？請你入鞘吧！休息靜止吧！
- 7 但耶和華既吩咐了它，又怎能停下來呢？他指派了它去攻擊亞實基倫和沿海一帶。
