- 1 波阿斯至邑門而坐、見其所言宜贖產者過焉、則呼之曰、某歟、請離途、坐於此、遂離途而坐、
- 2 乃簡邑之長老十人、謂曰、請坐於此、遂坐、
- 3 語宜贖產者曰、自摩押而歸之拿俄米、將鬻我昆弟以利米勒之田、
- 4 我意告爾、於坐此者、及我民之長老前、爾其購之、當贖之者乃爾、其次則我、別無他人、如爾欲贖、則贖之、不然、明白告我、其人曰、我欲贖之、
- 5 波阿斯曰、爾由拿俄米手贖田之日、亦由死者之婦、摩押女路得而購之、俾承其業、以繼死者之名、
- 6 宜贖產者曰、我不能爲己贖之、恐害我業、贖產之權、請爾操之、蓋我不能贖也、
- 7 昔在以色列中、凡贖物易物、欲定其事者、必解其履、以予鄰里、此以色列人爲據之例也、
- 8 故宜贖產者謂波阿斯曰、汝其購之、則解其履、
- 9 波阿斯謂長老與民衆曰、凡屬以利米勒、及基連瑪倫之業、我由拿俄米手購之、今日汝衆爲證、
- 10 更購瑪倫妻摩押女路得爲妻、俾承其業、以繼死者之名、免其名絕於昆弟、及故鄉之門、汝衆爲證、
- 11 在邑門之衆、與諸長老曰、我儕爲證、願耶和華使適爾家之婦、如拉結利亞、肇造以色列家者、亦願爾稱豪於以法他、得名於伯利恆、
- 12 願爾之家、由耶和華賜此少婦之子成立、如他瑪從猶大所生法勒斯之家、
- 13 波阿斯遂娶路得、與之同室、耶和華賜之懷姙生子、
- 14 衆婦謂拿俄米曰、當頌美那和華、今日使爾不缺親屬、願此子得名於以色列中、
- 15 彼必使爾振興、供養爾於老年、彼爲愛爾之媳所生、此媳於爾、較七子尤善、
- 16 拿俄米取子、抱之於懷、爲其阿保、
- 17 鄰婦曰、拿俄米得子矣、乃名之曰俄備得、俄備得爲耶西父、耶西爲大衞父、○
- 18 法勒斯之世胄如左、法勒斯生希斯倫、
- 19 希斯倫生蘭、蘭生亞米拿達、
- 20 亞米拿達生拿順、拿順生撒門、
- 21 撒門生波阿斯、波阿斯生俄備得、
- 22 俄備得生耶西、耶西生大衞、
