Tuna Pie

Ingredients

  • 600 gr Tuna tinned in brine or oil, drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tin creamed style corn
  • 1 container cottage cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups cheese, grated
  • 1 packet thick white onion soup powder
  • 1/4 cup mayonaisse
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp parsley, dried
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 large packet chutney flavoured potatoe crisps
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
  2. Just add the ingredients in sequence and stir after each addition till well mixed except the tomatoes.


  3. Pour in large, greased ovenpan or several smaller ones.  Even small muffin pans will work.

    Pack tomatoes on top of the pie and bake 30 - 40 minutes untill set and golden brown.

    Can be eaten warm or cold.
