Sirach 4
- 1 Чадо, живота нищаго не лиши и не отвращай очес от просящаго,
- 2 души алчущия не оскорби и не разгневай мужа в нищете его,
- 3 сердца раздраженаго не превозмути и не продолжай даяния требующему,
- 4 раба скорбяща не отрей и не отврати лица твоего от нищаго,
- 5 от требующаго не отврати очес и не даждь места человеку кляти тя:
- 6 кленущаго бо тя в горести души своея мольбу услышит Сотворивый его.
- 7 Приятна соборищу твори себе и князю смиряй главу твою,
- 8 приклони ухо твое к нищему и отвещай ему мирная в кротости,
- 9 изми обидимаго из руки обидящаго и не малодушествуй, егда судиши,
- 10 буди сирым яко отец и вместо мужа матери их:
- 11 и будеши яко сын Вышняго, и возлюбит тя паче неже мати твоя.
- 12 Премудрость сыны своя вознесе и заступает ищущих ея:
- 13 любяй ю любит жизнь, и утренюющии к ней исполнятся веселия:
- 14 держайся ея наследит славу, и идеже входит, благословит его Господь:
- 15 служащии ей послужат Святому, и любящих ю любит Господь:
- 16 слушаяй ея судити имать языки, и внимаяй ей вселится надеявся.
- 17 Аще уверуеши, наследиши ю, и во одержании будут роды его:
- 18 яко стропотно ходит с ним в первых, боязнь же и страх наведет нань
- 19 и помучит его в наказании своем, дондеже веру имет души его и искусит его во оправданиих своих,
- 20 и паки возвратится прямо к нему и возвеселит его
- 21 и открыет ему тайны своя:
- 22 аще заблудит, оставит его и предаст его в руце падения его.
- 23 Блюди время и хранися от лукаваго,
- 24 и о души твоей не постыдися:
- 25 есть бо стыд наводяй грех, и есть стыд слава и благодать.
- 26 Не приими лица на душу твою и не срамляйся о падении твоем.
- 27 Не возбрани словесе во время спасения:
- 28 в словеси бо познана будет премудрость, и наказание в глаголех языка.
- 29 Не пререкай противу истины и о ненаказании твоем срамляйся:
- 30 не стыдися исповедати грехи твоя и не воспящай быстрины речныя.
- 31 И не подстелися мужу бую и не обинися лица сильнаго.
- 32 Даже до смерти подвизайся о истине, и Господь Бог поборет по тебе.
- 33 Не буди скор языком твоим, ленив же и слаб в делех твоих.
- 34 Не буди яко лев в дому твоем и жестоконеистов в рабех твоих.
- 35 Не буди рука твоя простерта на взятие, а на отдаяние согбена.
