Acts 6
- 1 其頃弟子の數の加はるに随ひ、ギリシア語のユデア人、其寡婦等が毎日の施に漏らされたりとて、ヘブレオ語のユデア人に對して呟くに至りしかば、
- 2 十二使徒許多の弟子を呼集めて云ひけるは、我等が神の御言を措て食卓に給仕するは、道理に非ず。
- 3 故に兄弟等よ、汝等の中より、聖霊と知慮とに充ちて好評ある者七人を選め、我等之に此事務を宰らしめ、
- 4 自らは祈祷と宣教とに身を委ねん、と。
- 5 此言群衆一同の心に適ひしかば、信仰と聖霊とに充てるステファノ並にフィリッポ、プロコロ、ニカノル、チモン、パルメナ、又ユデア教に歸依したりしアンチオキアのニコラを選みて、
- 6 使徒等の前に差出したるに、使徒等は祈祷しつつ之に按手せり。
- 7 斯て主の御言益弘まり、エルザレムに於て弟子の數の増す事非常にして、司祭の信仰に歸服したる者も亦夥しかりき。
- 8 斯てステファノは恩寵と勇氣とに充ちて、大いなる奇蹟と徴とを人民の中に行ひ居たりしが、
- 9 或人々は、所謂被解放者の會堂、及びクレネ人、アレキサンドリア人、及びシリシアと[小]アジアとの出身者の諸會堂より起ちて、ステファノと争論すれども、
- 10 彼の智恵と彼に於て語り給へる聖霊とに抵抗する事能はざりき。
- 11 然れば彼等或人々を教唆して、我等は彼がモイゼと神とを冒涜する言を出せるを聞けり、と云はしめ、
- 12 終に人民と長老と律法學士とを煽動して、一斉に飛掛りて之を捕へ、衆議所に引出し、
- 13 僞證人を立てて云はせけるは、此人は聖所と律法とに反する言を語りて止まず、
- 14 即ち我等は、彼ナザレトのイエズス此所を亡ぼし、モイゼの我等に傳へし例を變ふべし、と彼が言ふを聞けり、と。
- 15 斯て議會に列座せる人、一同に目を注ぎてステファノを見れば、其顔恰も天使の顔の如くなりき。

Bible translated by E. Raguet. Emile Raguet(1854-1929) is a Belgian missionary. He came to Japan at 1879. He translated a New Tastament based on Vulgate into classical Japanese in 1910. His translation was treated as the semi-official Catholic translation in Japan.
