- 1 尼尼微啊，那打碎邦國的 上來 攻擊 你。你要看守 保障，謹防 道路，使腰 強壯，大大 勉 力。
- 2 （ 耶和華 復興 雅各 的榮華，好像以色列 的榮華一樣；因為 使地空虛的，已經使雅各和以色列空虛，將他們的葡萄枝 毀壞了。）
- 3 他勇士 的盾牌 是紅的，精 兵 都穿朱紅衣服。在他預備爭戰 的日子，戰車上 的鋼鐵 閃爍如火，柏木把的槍 也掄起來了。
- 4 車輛 在街上（或譯：城外）急行，在寬闊處 奔來奔去，形狀 如火把，飛跑 如閃電。
- 5 尼尼微王招聚 他的貴冑；他們步行 絆跌，速上 城牆，預備 擋牌。
- 6 河 閘 開放，宮殿 沖沒。
- 7 王后蒙羞，被人擄去；宮女 搥 胸，哀鳴 如 鴿。此乃命定之事。
- 8 尼尼微 自古以來充滿人民， 如同聚水 的池子；現在居民卻 都逃跑。雖有人呼喊說：站住！站住！卻無人 回顧。
- 9 你們搶掠 金 銀吧！因為所積蓄 的無 窮，華美 的寶 器 無數。
- 10 尼尼微現在空 虛 荒涼，人心 消化，雙膝 相碰，腰 都 疼痛，臉 都 變 色。
- 11 獅子 的洞 和少壯獅子 餵養之處 在哪裡呢？ 公獅 母獅 小 獅 遊行、無人 驚嚇 之地在哪裡呢？
- 12 公獅 為小獅 撕碎 許多食物，為母獅 掐死活物，把撕碎的、掐死的 充滿 牠的洞穴。
- 13 萬軍 之耶和華 說：「我與你為敵，必將你的車輛 焚燒 成煙，刀劍 也必吞滅 你的少壯獅子。我必從地上 除滅 你所撕碎的，你使者 的聲音 必不 再 聽見。」
