- 1 但願你像我的兄弟， 像吃我母親奶的兄弟。 這樣，我在外面遇見你，就可以吻你， 不會被人藐視。
- 2 我要引領你， 領你到我母親家裡去；從小她就教導我。 我要給你喝石榴汁釀的香酒。
- 3 他的左手托住我的頭， 他的右手擁抱著我。
- 4 耶路撒冷的眾女子啊！我懇求你們， 不要激動，不要挑動愛情， 等它自發吧。
- 5 那從曠野上來， 靠在她愛人身旁的是誰呢？ 我在蘋果樹下喚醒了你； 在那裡你的母親懷了你； 在那裡生育你的為你受生產的痛苦。
- 6 求你把我放在你心上如印記， 把我帶在你臂上如戳印； 因為愛情像死亡一般的堅強； 嫉妒如陰間一般的堅穩； 它的烈燄是火的烈燄， 是非常猛烈的火燄。
- 7 愛情，眾水不能熄滅， 洪流不能淹沒； 如果有人拿自己家裡所有的財產去換取愛情， 就必被藐視。

- 11 所羅門在巴力．哈們有個葡萄園； 他把這葡萄園租給看守的人， 各人要為葡萄園所得的果子付一萬一千四百克銀子。
- 12 我自己的葡萄園卻在我面前， 所羅門哪，一萬一千四百克歸給你， 二千二百八十克歸給那些看守果子的人。
- 13 你這住在園中的啊！ 我的同伴都在細聽你的聲音； 願你使我也聽見。
- 14 我的良人哪！願你快來， 像羚羊或小鹿， 在香草山上！
