- 1 約書亞集以色列諸支派於示劍、召其長老族長、士師有司、咸至、立於上帝前、
- 2 約書亞謂民曰、以色列之上帝耶和華云、古昔爾祖亞伯拉罕、及拿鶴之父他拉、居於河東、崇事他神、
- 3 我攜爾祖亞伯拉罕、自河東導之徧行迦南地、賜之以撒、繁其苗裔、
- 4 又賜以撒生雅各、以掃、以西珥山錫以掃爲業、惟雅各與其子孫下埃及、
- 5 我遣摩西亞倫、且降災於埃及、依我所行、後導爾出、
- 6 爾祖出埃及、至紅海、埃及人率車騎追至海濱、
- 7 彼呼籲耶和華、則置幽暗於爾與埃及人間、並使海水反淹其人、我所行於埃及、乃爾目擊、爾居曠野、歷時旣久、
- 8 我導爾入亞摩利人所居之地、在約但東、彼與爾戰、我付之於爾手、滅之於爾前、爾遂據有其地、
- 9 其時摩押王西撥子巴勒、起攻以色列人、遣人召比珥子巴蘭詛爾、
- 10 我不聽之、彼乃祝爾、如是救爾脫於其手、
- 11 爾過約但、至耶利哥、耶利哥人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、迦南人、赫人、革迦撒人、希未人、耶布斯人、咸與爾戰、我悉付之爾手、
- 12 使大蜂驅亞摩利二王於爾前、不藉爾刃爾弓、
- 13 非爾所墾之地、我以賜爾、非爾所建之邑、賜爾居之、非爾所植之葡萄園、橄欖園、爾食其果、
- 14 今當寅畏耶和華、以眞以誠崇事之、去除爾祖昔在河東、曁在埃及所事之神、惟崇事耶和華、
- 15 爾若以事耶和華爲不善、今日可擇所欲事者、或爾祖在河東所事之神、或爾所居斯土、亞摩利人之神、至我及我家、必事耶和華、
- 16 民對曰、我決不離棄耶和華、而事他神、
- 17 蓋我上帝耶和華導我祖及我出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、行大異蹟、使我目擊、護我於所行之途、所過之國、
- 18 耶和華又於我前驅逐諸民、卽居斯土之亞摩利人、故我亦必事耶和華、以其爲我上帝也、
- 19 約書亞曰、爾不能事耶和華、因彼乃維聖之上帝、忌邪之上帝、不赦爾之罪愆、
- 20 爾若離棄耶和華、而事異族之神、則彼福爾之後、轉而禍爾、至於滅亡、
- 21 民曰、不然、我必奉事耶和華、
- 22 約書亞曰、爾擇耶和華而事之、爾自爲證、曰、我自爲證、
- 23 曰、爾中所有異族之神、今當去之、專心歸從以色列之上帝耶和華、
- 24 民曰、我必奉事我上帝耶和華、而聽其言、
- 25 是日約書亞與民立約、爲之定典章律例於示劍、
- 26 約書亞以此言錄於上帝律書、立大石於橡下、在耶和華聖所之側、
- 27 謂民曰、耶和華諭我之言、此石悉聞之、可對我爲證、必爲爾證、免爾違爾上帝、
- 28 約書亞遂遣衆各歸其業、○
- 29 此後、耶和華僕嫩之子約書亞卒、年百有十歲、
- 30 葬於其業之界、卽亭拿西拉、在以法蓮山地、迦實岡北、
- 31 約書亞存日、以色列人奉事耶和華、約書亞卒後、長老尚在時、亦然、以斯長老知耶和華爲以色列人所行之事也、○
- 32 約瑟之骨、以色列人自埃及攜出者、葬於示劍、在雅各以百金、自示劍父哈抹裔所購之地、爲約瑟裔之業、
- 33 亞倫子以利亞撒卒、葬於以法蓮山地、其子非尼哈所得之岡、
