- 1 우리가 바빌론의 강변에서 거기에 앉아 참으로 시온을 기억하며 울었도다.
- 2 우리가 그것의 한가운데 있는 버드나무들에 우리의 하프들을 걸었나니
- 3 거기서 우리를 포로로 끌어간 자들이 우리에게 노래를 요구하며 우리를 피폐하게 한 자들이 우리에게 희락을 요구하여 이르기를, 우리를 위해 시온의 노래들 중의 하나를 노래하라, 하였도다.
- 4 우리가 어찌 낯선 땅에서 주의 노래를 부르리요?
- 5 오 예루살렘아, 내가 너를 잊을진대 내 오른손이 자기 솜씨를 잊을지로다.
- 6 내가 너를 기억하지 아니하거나 내가 가장 기뻐하는 것보다 예루살렘을 더 좋아하지 아니할진대 내 혀가 내 입천장에 붙을지어다.
- 7 오 주여, 예루살렘의 날에 에돔 자손이 말한 것을 기억하소서. 그들이 말하기를, 그것을 무너뜨리라. 그것을 무너뜨리라. 그것의 기초까지 무너뜨리라, 하였나이다.
- 8 오 멸망 받을 바빌론의 딸아, 네가 우리에게 베푼 대로 네게 갚는 자가 행복하리로다.
- 9 네 어린것들을 들어다가 돌에 메어치는 자가 행복하리로다.
