- 1 猶大 王 約沙法 平平安安地 回 耶路撒冷，到 宮裡去了。
- 2 先見 哈拿尼 的兒子 耶戶 出來 迎接 約沙法 王，對他 說：「你豈當幫助 惡人，愛 那恨惡 耶和華的人呢？因此 耶和華 的忿怒 臨到你。
- 3 然而 你 還有 善 行，因 你從 國中 除掉 木偶，立定 心意 尋求 神。
- 4 約沙法 住 在耶路撒冷，以後又 出巡 民間，從別是巴 直到 以法蓮 山地，引導民歸 向 耶和華─他們列祖的 神；
- 5 又在猶大 國 中遍 地的堅固 城 裡設立 審判官，
- 6 對 他們 說：「你們 辦 事 應當謹慎；因為 你們判斷 不是 為人，乃是 為耶和華。判斷的時候，他必與你們同在。
- 7 現在 你們 應當 敬畏 耶和華，謹慎 辦事；因為耶和華─我們的 神 沒有 不義，不偏待 人，也不受 賄賂。」
- 8 約沙法 從 利未人 和祭司，並以色列 族 長 中派定人，在耶路撒冷 為耶和華 判斷，聽民間的爭訟，就回 耶路撒冷去了。
- 9 約沙法囑咐 他們 說：「你們當敬畏 耶和華，忠心 誠實 辦事。
- 10 住 在各城裡 你們的弟兄，若有 爭訟的事 來 到你們這裡，或 為 流血，或 犯律法、誡命、律例、典章，你們要警戒 他們，免得 他們得罪 耶和華，以致他的忿怒 臨 到你們 和 你們的弟兄；這樣 行，你們就沒有 罪了。
- 11 凡屬 耶和華 的事， 有大 祭司 亞瑪利雅 管理你們；凡屬 王 的事，有猶大 支派 的族長 以實瑪利 的兒子 西巴第雅管理你們；在你們面前 有利未人 作官長。你們應當壯膽 辦事，願耶和華 與 善人 同在。」
