阿摩司书 8
- 1 主耶和华向我显示，我就看见一篮夏天的果子。
- 2 耶和华说：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我回答：“一篮夏天的果子。”他跟着对我说：“我民以色列的结局到了，我不再放过他们。
- 3 “到那日，圣殿的歌声必变为哀号；尸首众多，拋弃各处；你们要肃静。”这是主耶和华的宣告。
- 4 践踏穷乏人又除掉国中困苦人的，你们要听这话。
- 5 你们说：“月朔什么时候过去，好让我们可以卖五谷；安息日什么时候结束，好让我们可以开市卖谷物。我们卖东西就把升斗弄小，收银子却用加重了的法码，我们要用假秤欺骗人。
- 6 我们用银子买穷人，用一双鞋换取穷乏人；连麦碎也卖掉。”
- 7 耶和华指着雅各所夸耀的起誓说：“我必永远记着他们所作的一切；
- 8 “这地不应为此震动，所有住在地上的不应悲哀吗？这地必像尼罗河高涨翻腾，像埃及的大河退落。
- 9 “到那日，这是耶和华的宣告：我必使太阳在正午落下，在白昼使地变成昏暗。
- 10 “我必使你们欢乐的节期变为悲哀的日子，把你们的歌声都变为哀哭。我必使你们各人腰束麻带，头都剃光了；我必使你们悲哀，好像丧了独生子，自始至终都是痛苦的。
- 11 “看哪！日子快到，这是主耶和华的宣告。我必使饥荒临到这地，这饥荒不是因为没有食物，这干渴不是因为没有水；而是因为听不见耶和华的话。
- 12 他们从这海飘流到那海，从北到东，到处奔走，要寻求耶和华的话，却寻不见。
- 13 “到那日，美丽的少女和勇士都因干渴昏倒。
- 14 那些指着撒玛利亚亚示玛女神（“亚示玛女神”原文作“罪”）起誓，或是那些指着但的神，或别是巴的神（“别是巴的神”原文作“别是巴的道”）起誓的，他们要倒下，再不能起来。”
