- 1 主耶和華示我一事、爲王刈草之後、草復萌蘖、是時彼造蝗蟲、
- 2 蝗蟲食盡境內之草、我曰、主耶和華歟、求爾赦宥、雅各微小、何能卓立乎、
- 3 耶和華回意曰、必免其災、耶和華言之矣、○
- 4 主耶和華復示我一事、主耶和華以火施罰、涸其巨淵、將焚土地、
- 5 我曰、主耶和華歟、求爾止息、雅各微小、何能卓立乎、
- 6 耶和華回意曰、亦免此災、耶和華言之矣、○
- 7 又示我一事、爰有牆垣、依準繩所築者、主執準繩、立於其側、
- 8 耶和華諭我曰、阿摩司歟、爾所見維何、對曰、準繩、曰、我將置準繩於我民以色列中、不復赦宥之、
- 9 以撒之崇邱必荒寂、以色列之聖所必荒蕪、我將興起、以刃攻耶羅波安家、○
- 10 伯特利之祭司亞瑪謝、遣人詣以色列王耶羅波安曰、阿摩司在以色列家、圖謀叛爾、彼之所言、國不能堪、
- 11 蓋阿摩司曰、耶羅波安必死於刃、以色列必被虜、離其故土、
- 12 亞瑪謝又謂阿摩司曰、先見歟、爾其遁往猶大地、在彼可得餬口、而預言焉、
- 13 惟在伯特利勿復預言、蓋此爲王之聖所、國家之宮室也、
- 14 阿摩司對曰、我素非先知、亦非先知弟子、乃牧人治桑者、
- 15 耶和華取我於羣羊之後、謂我曰、往哉、向我民以色列預言、
- 16 今爾其聽耶和華言、爾曰勿對以色列預言、勿對以撒家發言、
- 17 故耶和華曰、爾妻將在邑中爲妓、爾子女將仆於刃、爾地將度以繩而被分、爾身將死於穢地、以色列必被虜、離其故土、
