1 Samuel 13
- 1 掃羅卽位、
- 2 爲以色列王、越至二年、由以色列中、簡三千人、二千從掃羅、在密抹及伯特利山、一千從約拿單、在便雅憫之基比亞、餘民遣歸其家、
- 3 約拿單擊非利士人汛於迦巴、非利士人聞之、掃羅吹角遍於國中、曰、希伯來人聽之、
- 4 以色列衆聞掃羅擊非利士人汛、以色列人爲非利士人所惡、民從掃羅、集於吉甲、
- 5 非利士人集、欲與以色列族戰、率車三萬、騎兵六千、民衆如海沙之多、至伯亞文東之密抹建營、
- 6 以色列民見事危急、窘迫特甚、則匿於山洞、叢林巖穴、營窟坎阱、
- 7 亦有希伯來人濟約但、至迦得與基列地、掃羅仍在吉甲、民戰慄而從之、
- 8 掃羅依撒母耳所定之期、待之七日、而撒母耳未至吉甲、民漸離散、
- 9 掃羅曰、攜燔祭及酬恩祭至此、遂獻燔祭、
- 10 獻燔祭畢、撒母耳至、掃羅出迓問安、
- 11 撒母耳曰、汝所行何事、掃羅曰、定期旣屆、爾未式臨、我見斯民離散、而非利士人集於密抹、
- 12 則曰、非利士人必至吉甲攻我、而我未求耶和華恩施、故我強獻燔祭、
- 13 撒母耳曰、爾所爲者愚也、不遵爾上帝耶和華所命、如其遵之、則耶和華必在以色列中、堅爾國祚、歷久弗替、
- 14 今爾不守厥命、爾之國祚不永、耶和華已尋獲一人、遂乎其心、立爲其民之長、
- 15 撒母耳遂起、自吉甲往便雅憫之基比亞、掃羅核其從者、計六百人、
- 16 掃羅及其子約拿單、與其從者、俱居於便雅憫之迦巴、非利士人建營於密抹、
- 17 有掠者自非利士營出、分爲三隊、一由俄弗拉道、至書亞地、
- 18 一由伯和崙道、一由洗波音谷相對之境、往於曠野、○
- 19 時、以色列全地無有鐵工、蓋非利士人曰、恐希伯來人製作劍戟也、
- 20 以色列人欲利其耒耜斧钁、則詣非利士人所、
- 21 惟有銼、以削其钁耜鍤斧、並利其錣、
- 22 故臨戰時、從掃羅與約拿單之民、手無劍戟、惟掃羅與約拿單有之、
- 23 非利士戍卒、出至密抹隘口、
