Ψαλμοί 60
- 1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, επί Σουσάν-εδούθ, Μικτάμ του Δαβίδ προς διδασκαλίαν, οπότε επολέμησε την Συρίαν της Μεσοποταμίας και την Συρίαν Σωβά, ο δε Ιωάβ επέστρεψε και επάταξε του Εδώμ εν τη κοιλάδι του άλατος δώδεκα χιλιάδας.» Θεέ, απέρριψας ημάς· διεσκόρπισας ημάς· ωργίσθης· επίστρεψον εις ημάς.
- 2 Έσεισας την γήν· διέσχισας αυτήν· ίασαι τα συντρίμματα αυτής, διότι σαλεύεται.
- 3 Έδειξας εις τον λαόν σου πράγματα σκληρά· επότισας ημάς οίνον παραφροσύνης.
- 4 Έδωκας εις τους φοβουμένους σε σημαίαν, διά να υψόνηται υπέρ της αληθείας. Διάψαλμα.
- 5 Διά να ελευθερόνωνται οι αγαπητοί σου, σώσον διά της δεξιάς σου και επάκουσόν μου.
- 6 Ο Θεός ελάλησεν εν τω αγιαστηρίω αυτού· θέλω χαίρει· θέλω μοιράσει την Συχέμ και την κοιλάδα Σοκχώθ θέλω διαμετρήσει.
- 7 Εμού είναι ο Γαλαάδ και εμού ο Μανασσής· ο μεν Εφραΐμ είναι η δύναμις της κεφαλής μου· ο δε Ιούδας ο νομοθέτης μου·
- 8 Ο Μωάβ είναι η λεκάνη του νιψίματός μου· επί τον Εδώμ θέλω ρίψει το υπόδημά μου· αλάλαξον επ' εμοί, Παλαιστίνη.
- 9 Τις θέλει με φέρει εις την περιτετειχισμένην πόλιν; τις θέλει με οδηγήσει έως Εδώμ;
- 10 Ουχί συ, Θεέ, ο απορρίψας ημάς; και δεν θέλεις εξέλθει, Θεέ, μετά των στρατευμάτων ημών;
- 11 Βοήθησον ημάς από της θλίψεως· διότι ματαία είναι η παρά των ανθρώπων σωτηρία.
- 12 Διά του Θεού θέλομεν κάμει ανδραγαθίας, και αυτός θέλει καταπατήσει τους εχθρούς ημών.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
