耶利米书 21
- 1 耶和华有话临到耶利米。那时，西底家王差遣玛基雅的儿子巴施户珥，和玛西雅的儿子西番雅祭司去见耶利米，说：
- 2 “请你替我们求问耶和华，因为巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来攻击我们；也许耶和华会为我们行奇事，使尼布甲尼撒离开我们回去。”
- 3 耶利米就对他们说：“你们要对西底家这样说：
- 4 ‘耶和华以色列的 神这样说：看哪！我必使你们手中的武器，就是你们用来与城外围困你们的巴比伦王和迦勒底人作战的武器，转回堆积在这城的中心。
- 5 我必在怒气、烈怒和忿怒中，用伸出来的手和强有力的膀臂，亲自攻击你们。
- 6 我要击打住在这城的人和牲畜，他们都要因极大的瘟疫而死。
- 7 然后，我必把犹大王西底家和他的臣民，就是在这城里经过瘟疫、刀剑之灾和饥荒而幸存的人，都交在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒和他们的仇敌，以及寻索他们性命的人的手中。尼布甲尼撒要用刀剑击杀他们，绝不顾惜，不留情，不怜悯。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
- 8 耶和华又吩咐耶利米：“你要对这人民说：‘耶和华这样说：看哪！我把生命的路和死亡的路摆在你们面前。
- 9 凡留在这城里的，必因刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死；但出去向围困你们的迦勒底人投降的，必可以活着，捡回自己的性命。
- 10 因为我已经决意向这城降祸不降福；这城必交在巴比伦王的手中，他必放火把城烧毁。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
- 11 “你要对犹大王室说：‘你们要听耶和华的话。
- 12 大卫家啊！耶和华这样说：你们每早晨应秉公审判，解救被抢夺的脱离欺压者的手；免得我的烈怒因你们（“你们”有古抄本作“他们”）的恶行发作，如火焚烧，无人能熄灭。
- 13 看哪！在山谷上、在岩石平原上的耶路撒冷啊！我要攻击你。’这是耶和华的宣告。’你们说：谁能下来攻击我们，谁能进入我们的住处呢？
- 14 我必照着你们所作的事应得的结果惩罚你们；我要在耶路撒冷的树林中放火，吞灭她四围的一切。’”这是耶和华的宣告。
