西番雅書 1
- 1 猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞在位的時候，耶和華的話臨到希西家的玄孫、亞瑪利雅的曾孫、基大利的孫子、古示的兒子西番雅。
- 2 耶和華說：“我必把萬物從地上完全除滅。”
- 3 耶和華說：“我必除滅人類、牲畜、空中飛鳥、海裡的魚。我必使惡人跌倒，我必把人類從地上剪除。
- 4 我必伸手攻擊猶大，攻擊耶路撒冷所有的居民。我必從這地方除掉巴力所餘下的，除掉拜偶像的祭司的名字，以及耶和華的祭司；
- 5 就是那些在房頂上敬拜天上萬象的，那些敬拜耶和華，指著他起誓，又指著瑪勒公起誓的，
- 6 那些轉離不跟從耶和華的，不尋找耶和華，也不求問他的。”
- 7 你要在我主耶和華面前肅靜！因為耶和華的日子臨近了，因為耶和華已經預備了祭物，把自己所請來的人分別為聖。
- 8 “到了我耶和華獻祭的日子，我必懲罰首領和王子，懲罰所有穿外族衣服的人。
- 9 到那日，我必懲罰所有跳過門檻的，所有使強暴和欺詐充滿主人房屋的。”
- 10 耶和華說：“到那日，必有呼叫的聲音從魚門發出來，必有哀號從新區發出來，必有崩裂巨響從山間發出來。
- 11 瑪革提施的居民哪！你們要哀號，因為所有的商人都滅亡了；所有稱銀子的都被剪除了。
- 12 那時，我必提燈搜查耶路撒冷，懲罰那些沉澱在酒渣上的人。這些人心裡說：‘耶和華必不賜福，也不降禍。’
- 13 他們的財寶必成為掠物，他們的房屋必變為廢墟。他們建造房屋，卻不得住在其中；他們栽植葡萄園，卻不得喝所出的酒。”
- 14 耶和華的大日子臨近了，臨近了，來得非常快速。聽！耶和華的日子的聲音。在那日，勇士要哀痛地號叫。
- 15 那日是忿怒的日子，是困苦艱難的日子，是荒廢淒涼的日子，是黑暗幽冥的日子，是密雲漆黑的日子，
- 16 是吹號吶喊，要攻打堅城，進擊城樓的日子。
- 17 我要使人受困苦，以致他們像瞎子行走，因為他們得罪耶和華。他們的鮮血必倒出，如倒灰塵一樣，他們的身體必被遺棄像糞土一般。
- 18 在耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀也不能救他們，全地都要被他的妒火吞滅；因為他要徹底毀滅地上所有的居民，真是可怕的毀滅。
